Elizabeth Jane Hurley was an English model, actress, and television star that gained notoriety in the 1990s when she was the girlfriend of Hugh Grant. In 2007, however, Capitol Records put out Perry's EP Ur So Gay which attracted only a little attention because of its humorous title track. I kissed a Girl - an ode of sexual curiosity - was dropped a couple of months later. It had a hard electro-pop sound, and had a strong attitude. Some critics accused the song as a sly reference to homosexuality and others believed that the song's raunchy lyrics were meant to appeal to male fantasies. I Kissed a Girl was an instant hit on Perry's album of the same name in 2008. of the Boys in 2008 because of the mixture of sexual enthusiasm and polished music. Hot N Cold was a popular hit in America. the album's second song Hot N Cold with its fast and bouncy beat was a hit.
